Level 1: Phonemic Awareness

$250.00
Before students can read and spell by sounding out, they must be able to hear and manipulate each sound in a word. That skill is called Phonemic Awareness, and many people with dyslexia lack this essential skill.

Students will learn how to break a nonsense word into sounds, change or delete a sound, and compare two nonsense words to find the sound that's different.

Students will also learn to blend sounds together and to create rhymes.

These essential pre-reading and pre-spelling skills are taught in a manner that is not offensive to adults or teenagers, yet works with young children.

Level 2: Consonants & Short Vowels

$250.00
Now that your student has strengthened his Phonemic Awareness skills, he's ready to learn the sounds of all the consonants, digraphs, and short vowels.

Students will learn to "tap the vowels" to help them distinguish the Short-E and Short-I sounds.

Students practice reading and spelling both real and nonsense words that contain 3 sounds.

Students also learn about phrases and sentence structure. They'll practice reading sentences with good phrasing, which improves their fluency.

Level 3: Closed and Unit Syllables

By the end of this level, students will be able to read and spell words that contain up to four syllables that are either Open, Closed, Unit, or the 9 most common Vowel Team syllables.

Level 5: Prefixes and Suffixes

$300.00

$300.00
Vowels make unusual sounds when followed by an R.

Level 8: Advanced Vowel Teams

$300.00
In Level 4, students learned the 9 most common vowel teams. In this Level, they'll learn the other 15 vowel teams -- teams that can make more than one sound.
